Types of Fire Extinguishers:

WATER – Water fire extinguishers have a class A rating and are suitable for fighting fires involving solid combustibles such as wood, paper, and textiles.

HalotronProtection for Sensitive Equipment

The most significant benefit of Halotron is that the agent leaves no residue. It discharges as a rapidly evaporating liquid (or gas, depending on the variant) that is non-conductive and non-corrosive.

Carbon Dioxide – work by displacing oxygen, or taking away the oxygen element of the fire triangle. The carbon dioxide is also very cold as it comes out of the extinguisher, so it cools the fuel as well.

ABC Powder – It is a pale yellow powder that is able to put out all three classes of fire; Class A for trash, wood, and paper, Class B for liquids and gases, and Class C for energized electrical sources. The dry chemical smothers the fire.

Water Mist – is the ultimate extinguisher for Class A fires and where a potential Class C (electrical) hazard exists. The fine spray from the unique misting nozzle provides safety from electrical shock, greatly enhances the cooling and soaking characteristics of the agent and reduces scattering of burning materials.

Wet Chemical-Kitchen – extinguisher discharges a layer of a soap-like substance. This is designed to form a barrier that prevents the fire from spreading and cool the oil.

Why are Fire Extinguishers important in the office?
